baby shower favors

i'm planning a baby shower. super excited. i have NO idea what theme to go with, but i'm charging ahead with other details. and i want to order macarons for the guest favors. you can get them at Paulette's macarons. so fun and great colors! and - i tried my first one last week at Vanilla Bake SHop and they were divine.

I actually saw this book in a magazine last week and was intrigued with the idea of making my own macarons, but i know better than to attempt that for a party.

but back to the favors. i read the following on parents.com. " Send guests home with yummy favors that are a little bit salty and a little bit sweet. Take two small cellophane party favor bags and fill one with a couple of cookies (we like Paulette Macarons since they come in cute colors like pink and green) and the other with gourmet kettle potato chips. Seal the cookie bag with a sticker reading "sweet" and the potato chip bag with a sticker reading "salty." Tie the bags together with pretty pink and green ribbons, then display the "salty & sweet" treats in shallow baskets near the door for guests to grab on their way out. "

I'm totally stealing that idea. check box 1!
